We first find the source of the water and make sure that no more water is leaking or seeping in. Once we have stopped the flow, we extract the water as quickly as possible using commercial grade extractors. Then we clean away silt and sterilize gray or black water in damaged areas (i.e. sewage). Then we begin the dry out process immediately to prevent the growth of mold. We set up commercial fans and dehumidifiers to dry the area as quickly as possible. Once everything is dry we use thermal detectors to determine what needs to be restored. Often drywall and carpeting cannot be salvaged if it is wet for too long.
